He was 8 lbs 12 oz and 19 1/2" long. His name is Samuel. We love this little guy! We came home from the hospital last night and we're all doing great.

He's Here!
The baby is here! He was born Thursday, March 19 at 7:03 pm. We had a really great (albeit intense) birth. I really enjoyed going into labor on my own (I was induced with Ben), not having an IV, letting my water break on its own, etc. I didn't particularly enjoy the back labor, but you can't have it all. I pushed for about 5 minutes and got to help bring him up onto my chest, where he stayed for the next hour or so.

Thanks for the quick posting of Sam's first pictures. We are thrilled to see him- a cute little guy. We also liked seeing Sam lying beside big brother, Ben.

I love looking at these and seeing the JOY! As I already told you and have a gazillion times--I cannot wait to hold the little man!

Thank goodness for blogs so we can see your newest perfect little addition!
