Like Father, Like Son

James' chief resident year has really made an impression on Ben.  We often hear him talking about "my residents" and they always have the same names.  Here they are, in case you ever run into them:  John, Joshua, David, The Broken Head, The Famous Chair-o, and the newest resident, Dr. Privates.

Sometimes the residents are sick or need food, sometimes they need Ben to go to his office (which, by the way, is up a ladder as tall as the federal building, through Utah & Seattle, then Star & Eagle), and a few months ago, The Broken Head died (over and over, but he seems to be okay now).  Yesterday we kept having to roll down Ben's car window so he could talk to his residents on the street.  These residents are always demanding something of Ben.

Katrina!! I found your blog through Andrea's.
I hope you don't mind me looking at it. I can't believe Sam is one already, he was tiny when you left!
It's fun to find out more about you, say hi to the Dr for me.

This post cracked me up! Dr. privates and the broken head are priceless, I can't wait until my little guys start talking. Also you've motivated me with your amazing cake-making skills. I've decided to up the ante this year and attempt a thomas the tank engine cake for Mac's bday, wish me luck!

Hi Katrina, Kay hooked me up with your blog and I LOVE IT! IT really looks like your move is working out well. Wonderful to see your kids with all their cousins. BTW, this post is priceless. I LOVE the diversity of the residents' names. Your son is clearly a clever one.
