Sam is 2!

Sam turned 2 on Saturday!  I'm still a little shocked that my baby is 2 years old. I need to gush about Sam for a little bit.  I love being his mom so much.  He is such a cuddly boy and always has been.  He loves to play with my hair with his left hand, while sucking his fingers on his right hand.  Every night after dinner he climbs down from his chair and says, "Back" or "Hee" (hair).  Then he climbs up into my chair, stands behind me, and plays with my hair while I finish dinner.  He also loves to read books--if he's upset, 95% of the time he will calm down if you offer to read to him.  Sam wants to keep up with Ben and gets frustrated when he can't do everything that Ben can do.  He also has a strong hatred for diaper changes and for being put into his car seat (thus, I also have a strong hatred for diaper changes and putting him in his car seat).  I love Sam's squishy cheeks and lips, his bowed legs & pigeon toes, and his bright eyes and smile.  Like I said, I love being Sam's mom!  I can't imagine our family without him.

We celebrated his birthday by having a little party with cousins and grandparents.  Sam loved eating pizza for lunch, blowing out the candles on his dump truck cake, and getting presents.  He especially loved having so many of his favorite people here.  The pictures are pretty self-explanatory.
